If you’re visiting for the first time, our house is flint clad, at the top of Crete Road East. Sometimes Google Maps tells you to drive to France and back again. If in doubt, you do not need to do this.
TIMING

We’ll be starting with a celebration at 2pm, followed by canapés and drinks. Wedding breakfast will be served around 6pm. Carriages are at 12am.
GETTING HERE

Folkestone Central is 45 mins by train from Stratford International and 50 mins from St Pancras. London City Airport connects to Stratford International via a 15 min overground train or cab. Gatwick Airport is 1 hr 10 drive.
We’re just off the M20 motorway - very easy to get to. We’re also 10 mins from both the Channel Tunnel and Dover if you decide to extend your trip to Europe.

MAKING A WEEKEND OF IT
We live on the Kent Downs - it’s an easy walk along the coast to the Battle of Britain memorial or in the other direction to Caesar's Camp, a Roman Fort - a 20 minute walk in either direction.
There are a number of nice beaches nearby including The Warren, a sandy beach 10 mins away, Sunny Sands in Folkestone, and a stretch of shingle beach from Folkestone as far as the eye can see to Dungeness, a desert landscape with an artistic and architectural interest https://www.timeout.com/kent/things-to-do/best-things-to-do-in-dungeness

Our favourite & the best restaurant in Folkestone is Rocksalt, a seafood place on the harbour. The building was designed by the same architects as our house. They have rooms too, as well as spectacular views: well worth a visit:

The Harbour Arm is a beautiful promenade out at sea with stunning views of the white cliffs. It’s home to pop up food stalls, a champagne bar and independent businesses: https://folkestoneharbourarm.co.uk/

The Old High Street is a charming cobbled street filled with independent shops, cafes and galleries https://folke.life/folkestone/enterprise_and_innovation/old-high-street/
